Taken with my new toy, the affordable but surprisingly good Samyang 14mm f/2.8 IF ED UMC Aspherical. This 14mm is quite a fair bit wider than my previous widest lens on FF, the EF 17-40mm. In fact, this shot was taken with the camera held close to the ceiling (about 2.5-3m high). Taken from the same position with my 17-40, the cymbals on both ends would be cut off by at least 1/3 each.
This shot was only recropped from 3:2 to 2.35:1 aspect ratio. The full width of the photo is unchanged. Some distortion compensation was applied. This lens is extremely sharp for something this wide. Check out the full review here: http://www.photozone.de/canon_eos_ff/532-samyang14f28eosff
